the fall of troy - doppelganger

this album would have blown my 14 year old's mind when i first heard it. crazy amounts of fun here and i really dug the more sasscore moments on the later tracks. f.c.p.r.e.m.i.x. was a lot better than i originally thought it would be when i heard it years ago/

fela kuti - unknown soldier

this one was kind of a hard listen. not by composition, but by subject matter. probably one of his most emotional records and his most funky yet in my opinion. amazing jam sessions while fela kuti goes on about how the nigerian government killed kuti's mother.

fela kuti - coffin for head of state

decided to hear this too since it came included with my download of the album. might be my least favorite of his work but it's not saying much by a lot.

zia mohiuddin dagar - raga yaman

incredibly gorgeous album from start to finish. didn't even feel like an hour had passed at points.

chauchat - unhappiness

i've heard that this sounds similar to elliott smith but to me this just sounds like the microphones if they were more of a neo-psych slowcore band. honestly loved the later half of the record more than the first half but it is very comfy but yet so sombre.

jon hassell & brian eno - fourth world, vol. 1: possible musics

always been a bit of a comfort album for me to listen to whenever i'm in the bathtub or i just wanna focus on some things. still cant believe in some parts of this album a trumpet is being played.
